STALLIONS A member of The Welsh Pony & Cob Society
In the beginning mares were sent away to stud using the local stallions Victor, Lennel Cock Pheasant and Mynd Titus. Further afield we used Gauldon Gamecock, Glansevin Gay Gordon, Duntarvie Crusader and Longnewton Maestro.
In 1989 we stood Ciel Phoebus kindly loaned by Douglas Crawford of the Windborne Stud and two years later Rotherwood Goldfinch joined us from Jock and Irene McKenzie's Aytounhill Stud. During 1994 we were fortunate to be gifted Horsegate Ambassador from his breeder Angela Edwards and he ended his days with us passing on the same qualities to his sons, Lindisfarne Guardsman and Lindisfarne Gendarme.
Gendarme only covered one mare at home before being sold on and was gelded to be ridden. Sadly we lost Guardsman in December 2008 at the age of thirteen, but he left a good stamp of stock at home and while standing at both the Pendock and Krypton Studs earlier in his career. Though he sired a limited amount of foals his most notable are Pendock Pennyworth, a RIHS champion and HOYS finalist in M&M first ridden and Lindisfarne Grouse, RIHS and HOYS qualifier and champion many times in M&M and WHP classes.
